Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jimenez; 2 September 1966)[3][4][5] is a Mexican and American actor as well as film producer. Her career began in Mexico by playing a lead role in the Telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) as and the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) and for which she earned an Ariel Award nomination. She quickly made herself known in Hollywood by appearing in films like Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) as well as Dogma (1999). Hayek's portrayal of Frida Kahlo as a painter in Frida (2002) which is a biographical film she wrote and produced that earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[6]. Also, she was awarded her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. In subsequent years, Hayek focused more on filmmaking while also appearing in action-oriented films such as Once Upon a Time in Mexico
