Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback performer and a musician who works predominantly in Tamil as well as Malayalam movies that are based on the Tamil language. Annayum, Rasoolum marked her Malayalam as well as Tamil debut. Her debut was in Tamil with Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in an Anglo-Indian house in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea's father was an attorney at the Madras High Court lawyer. She has one younger sister that lives in Leuven Belgium as a research assistant. Jeremiah, who was born in Chennai was a student at Chennai National Public School. He completed his studies at Women's Christian College. Jeremiah has stated that she was an avid geek and wanted to be a psychiatrist until she completed her 12th board exams.Andrea started playing the piano classically when she was just eight. Young Stars, a Jackson Five-style group she joined at the age of 10 established her foundation in early singing and music. The actress was also a stage performer in the college she attended and was a part of several productions staged through The Madras Players and EVAM. She was also the President of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea's career in theatre began with Girishkarnad Nagamandala. She appeared in the 2006 leo commercial for coffee with Shiva. She also acted in an episode that was retransmitted on Podhigai channel. The actress has also appeared in India. She played a brief role in the finale of Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). She sang a song for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu. The director asked her to join the female lead characters as part of Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed. It featured Andrea as Kalyani who is a housewife whose husband is involved in an affair which leads to her being blackmailed. Andrea got the role after actresses Simran Shubana, and Tabu were offered the role. This film came out in early 2010. In 2011, she agreed to perform a tiny acting role as a support in Venkatprabhu's film Mankatha, which launched in August 2011 In 2013, she made her debut in Malayalam film by appearing in Rajeeev's romantic film Annayum Rasoolum.
