Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised by an ethnically mixed family. Her father is Nigerian Swiss as is her mom who's English. She was lived in a housing estate run by the council located south of London. In the ages of fourteen, she was enrolled at The Brit School. She went to an academy called the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London which she graduated with an acting BA. She was a part of various stages during her high school days, including King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe started her acting career in the film Storm Damage. In the years since she has appeared in Teachers as well as Doctors. Madekwe's debut film appearance was in Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. In the wake of that film's success her role was Elisha in the one-off BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN, and appeared in six episodes of Trexx and Flipside in the role of Ollie. She was Bambi in The ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe also starred as the lead character in How to lose friends & alienate people, which was released by Sony Pictures Entertainment 2008. Performance credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe made her debut in the US in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama series ran at The CW for only two episodes, but it was ended. In February of 2011, she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. The departure of Madekwe from the show was officially announced in May of 2013. After two years as the main character she was a guest in the opening episode of season three. Between 2014 and 2016she appeared in Salem as Tituba. Madekwe married her long-time love, Iddo. They worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He also played with her on Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into the extended family of a huge, large. Ashley Leggat was born to Roy and Patty and her other siblings: Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's brothers were all extremely athletic, and they played baseball as well as hockey in the summer and winter. Her childhood was spent in baseball and arenas. Ashley did not have the ability to actually walk. She would dance. When she reached two and a half, she was a part of Baby Ballet. Ashley discovered her love for dance at this age. Ashley performed in competitive ballet, jazz and tap in high divisions. Ashley took home the best soloist award at every major dance contest, which included International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among a few.
