Coleman was born and raised in the town of the town of Blackpool in Lancashire. She attended Arnold School Blackpool, where she scored straight A's for her A-levels. In response to questions about her role in Emmerdale she replied she regretted that she did not have an experience like the traditional one at university. Coleman joined a theater company, In Yer Space while at school. The company performed during the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. Her performance was rewarded, and the play was praised by the critics. Coleman received the role as Jasmine Thomas while she was performing at drama school. This happened in 2005. Coleman was twice nominated for prizes in the year 2007. The award was for Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. She was nominated for Best Actress, Sexiest Woman and for the Best Dramatic Performance during the British Soap Awards 2009. Coleman received her TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who announced in a news meeting held on the 21st of March, 2012, that Coleman would replace Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat chose her due to her ability to work with Smith and also because she was faster at speaking than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the field for more than 30 years and is involved with numerous film and TV projects. Her work has been much prominent on TV as opposed to films. Eva is well-known for her work as Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and as the detective Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami. This particular show brought her two nominations for the 'Daytime Emmy. Also, she got to showcase her creativity via music. Alongside being an actress, Eva is also a philanthropist as well as an entrepreneur. She has been married thrice and has a daughter from her second husband.
